Description. beta = nlinfit (X,Y,modelfun,beta0) returns a vector of estimated coefficients for the nonlinear regression of the responses in Y on the predictors in X using the model specified by modelfun. The coefficients are estimated using iterative least squares estimation, with initial values specified by beta0.The Levenberg-Marquardt and trust-region-reflective methods are based on the nonlinear least-squares algorithms also used in fsolve. The default trust-region-reflective algorithm is a subspace trust-region method and is based on the interior-reflective Newton method described in [1] and [2] .
